Suggest Treatment For Hives

Over the past 3weeks I have been suffering really bad with hives it wakes me in the early hours. My legs arms and lower back are covered in this rash and its driving me nuts. I am a long term sufferer and have had this on and of from 4yrs old and am now 30, it flares up when my body temperature goes up but it s not been this bad for years. I m currently taking cerazette pill and wondered wether this was to blame even tho I have been taking it for about 1yr. Thanks

Hello,

It seems that probably you may be having chronic Urticaria. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment.

Complete investigations of blood and urine may be needed. An allergy test may also be indicated.

Allergic food contacts or inhalants which cause allergy should be avoided. Antihistaminic for a long time may be taken. If needed, a short course of steroid may also be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ilyas Patel
