My husband who has drank alot for many years, went for his annual lab work and the doctor called him and said something was low and ordered an ultrasound, what could this be? They also put him on cholesterol medication and pills cause his sugar was high

long term alcoholic can have liver profile deranged, deranged lipid profile, with hyperglycemia. stop alcohol at once. get hba1c, fbs, ppbs done.
