Suggest Treatment For High Fasting Sugar Levels

hello, I am 25 years old, not overweight, havent lost/gained weight lately. i only experience tiredness. I have a glucose count of 134 after 14 hours fasting. The test was repeated and verified on a different day. also have HbA1C 6.9 and triglyceride 209. how badly am I diabetic? Other than diet and exercise - will I have to monitor my glucose daily and will I need medicine/insulin ? Thank you

Diabetologist 's  Response
Dear Sir/madam,
any value more than 126 mg/ dl in fasting is considered to be in diabetic range. So as you can see you have just crossed the line. Secondly your HbA1c also says its just slightly more.
in My humble opinion you can
1) step up on your diet and exercise
2)lose weight
3)avoid sugars
4) keep checking sugars once a week.
if your sugars show a decreasing trend you can continue on diet and exercise.
having said all this its always better to follow up with a diabetologist.
for anything you need to know regarding diabetes I am always here!
All the best!
