Suggest Treatment For Hashimoto's Hypothyroidism And Hyperthyroidism
I HAVE HASHIMOTO'S HYPOTHYROIDISM AND THYROIDITIS. I AM CURRENTLY ON SYNTHROID 75MCG BUT IT JUST DOESN'T SEEM LIKE IT IS HELPING. I HAVE READ ALOT ABOUT THE DESSICATED THYROID MEDICINE SUCH AS ARMOUR, NATURE THROID, ETC. WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ABOUT THESE OTHER MEDICINES? I AM GOING TO AN ENDO THIS COMING MONDAY AND I HOPE THAT SHE CAN GET ME ON THE RIGHT DOSAGE OF MEDICINE OR THE RIGHT MEDICINE IN GENERAL. I HAVE NOT FELT WELL IN MONTHS AND I AM READY TO GET BACK TO LIVING MY LIFE AGAIN. I ALSO HAD AN ULTRASOUND A FEW WEEKS AGO WHICH PROVED THAT I HAD THYROIDITIS AND I THINK 2 NODULES WHICH I WILL ALSO TALK TO THE ENDO ABOUT. PLEASE TELL ME THAT THERE IS HOPE FOR THE ONES OF US THAT HAVE THIS AND THAT IT CAN BE CORRECTED SO WE CAN FEEL HUMAN AGAIN.

Yes Desiccated thyroid may be an option, as it contains T3 that may improve the symptoms. Regarding to the nodules, they should be investigated further according to ultrasound features.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
