My normally healthy 19 year old daughter had a sudden onset yesterday afternoon of a runny nose, 100 degree temp, sore throat, extremely tired. During the night I was awakened by her cough that sounded like a bark. She was still had a fever this morning. Thank you.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Based on the symptoms described she likely has the common cold.

If she experiences severe muscle aches/pain, headaches along with the other symptoms then it would be in keeping with the flu.

Treatment involves rest, fluids and over the counter cough and cold medication. Paracetamol or ibuprofen can be used to help with the fever.

I hope this helps
