Suggest Treatment For Epilepsy Disease In A Child

Hi, my daughter is 8 yo and has had epilepsy since birth due to rubella in the first trimester. She has had a left hemispherotomy, when she was one, the medications never helped much. She is getting 250 of stiripentol dayly and 400 mg of Keppra. The seizures never changed much. They still look like infantile spasms, occuring when she is waking up. Head, arms and legs jerk to the right every 5 seconds, sometimes there is a howl at the beginning. There are periods of no szs for 2-3 days, then bad period with one or two clusters of szs every morning. The girl is very cheerful, almost never cries, but can push you till you do things her way. Is very careful in choosing her friends, but very popular at school. physically, doesn t hold her head well, is pretty much like a 2 months old baby, doesn t speak. Mentally - seems to understand most of what we are saying, but retarded of course. Any advice on szs and development? Thanks, Kathy
