Suggest Treatment For Epididymitis

I have seen a doctor for Epididymitis he fits sent m off for a STI test, all clear. Then he prescribed a strong anti-biotic did not help. Finally he has said I just have to live with it. I am 60 and have had this for about 5 years. Sometimes it is worse than others. Is there really nothing that I can do.
