Suggest Treatment For Enlarged Lymph Nodes In The Neck, Fever , Gas And Constipation

2 year old with enlarged lymph node in neck,fever, loss of appetite (but still eating some), excessive gas, constipation (1 bm in 7 days). Took him to doctor diagnosed with bacterial infection on augmentin for 4 days. Fevers persistent, gas is worse. Thoughts?

Hello,

Fever with lymphadenopathy is due to many causes like any infection in throat and nose lead or scalped to fever and lymph node enlargement. Other possibilities malignancy like lymphoma or metastasis etcetera. Until the examination, is done it is difficult to say what it is. But most of the infectious lymph node enlargement may subside itself don't worry. Avoid smoking, caffeine drinks and alcohol. If symptoms not improved, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
