Suggest Treatment For Ear Ache

I had a cold for a couple days and woke up in the middle of the night to an ear ache (which I'm told is normal). I was also told hydrogen peroxide would help calm it down, but when I used it, it only made my ear ache worse. I have no clue what is going on. And nothing I've read online is helping.

Hello

Ear ache following a coldis likely to be due to infection of the middle ear due to the micro-organisms and you will need antibiotics for it. I would like you to meet your ent doctor for the prescription.
Hydrogen peroxide will not help you and please dont use it. You can take tablet paracetamol 500mg 2-3 times a day for the pain.
Please meet your ent doctor.

Thanks
