Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea

Two weeks ago, I was throwing up and having diarrhea for 6 days. I went to the emergency room and was told (after a catscan) that one of my fatty tissues inside my intestines was twisted. After 3 IV s they sent me home. I ve been doing much better, however, I m throwing up/diarrhea again. Any ideas on what to do or what it could be?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Probably you may be suffering from rotation or torsion of bowel or mesenteric ischemia.

Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.

Use tablet pantoprazole.

Take soft diet and tablet sporulac.

Get it done ultrasound abdomen, upper GI endoscopy and colonoscopy.

If symptoms not improved please consult your gastroenterologist he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu,
