Suggest Treatment For Diarrhea With Heavy Bleeding In The Stools
I have been having diarrhea with between 1/8 and 1/4 cup of blood in it about twice a day for over a month. Tonight, I had a couple alcoholic drinks (first time Ive drank in months) and I had an excessive amount of blood come out. It was to the point where I leaned forward to see how much blood was in the toilet and there was literally a stream dripping into the toilet. Recently lost my insurance and I cant afford to go to the doctor. Any ideas as to what this may be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
The bleeding can be related to hemorrhoids.
Some advice that I can give to you is: -Use over-the-counter option like Imodium drug. -Take Probiotics. -Use topical treatments. -Apply an over-the-counter hemorrhoid cream or suppository containing hydrocortisone. -Use pads containing witch hazel or a numbing agent. -Soak regularly in a warm bath or sitz bath.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
