Hallow Dear,

Diabetes is a metabolic disorder which is carried by the genes. Hence, once it has shown its presence in your body, it will remain with you for lifetime. May be it can remain in latent phase for some time while it will show up during some phases. Usually the latent diabetes becomes overt during any physical and/or psychological stress. Pregnancy is such a condition of stress.

You can control diabetes in initial phases by appropriate diet (high proteins, low carbohydrate and fats) and exercises. When required, the medicinal support should be provided.

During pregnancy the diabetes should be kept under control by medicines lest the risk of complications in baby as well as the mother. The baby of the diabetics mothers may be overweight and still behaves like a premature baby.

Please do not believe in any advice of cure of diabetes. However, you can definitely manage it by appropriate diet and exercises and keep it in the latent phase.

I hope this enlightens you to some extent.
