Suggest Treatment For Cough And Running Nose
My 16 mo old has been sneezing had a runny nose and cough for months. She has had multiple ear infections and a sinus infection over the winter, but lungs are always clear. Recently when she was sick, she had no vitamin D milk for three days and her symptoms improved until she had cheese and ice cream and they returned. Allergy or intolerance?

Cough and runny nose are related to an allergic reaction.
Lactose intolerance causes stomach cramps, gas, diarrhea and vomiting.
But rash, hives, runny nose, coughing and swelling are not symptoms of lactose intolerance.
So,the symptoms are more likely to be related to an allergy which should be confirmed by allergy tests.
Meanwhile,I suggest giving her antihistamines to relieve the symptoms.
