Suggest Treatment For Constipation, flatulence And Vomiting

Sir,I am having constipation since childhood. I took kayam churna for last eight years and it did worked. But I left taking kayam churna from last one year as a homeopathic doctor advised me to do so. I remained nearly well for last eight months. But suddenly four months before, I started having serios gas problems and constipation. I started feeling nausea after meal and some times I had to vomit after meal . I had also back pain pain and body pain some times . I consulted a physician . He prescribed me farizyme and equirex . It worked really well for 10 to 15 days ,but again the same problem prevailed .Then I contacted another physician he prescribed me pantocid , normaxin and naturolax and ultrasound diagnosis for (flatulence dyspepsia) . The ultrasound report was normal stating that no significant pathology seen in parts scanned.Gall bladder normal .?Gastritis /colitis syndrome . The medicine prescribed by the 2nd doctor worked for only 2-3 days and again same problem prevailed. I am taking the medicine of 2nd doctor for nearly 3 months but there is no improvement. Sir I am a student and doing btech 3rd year . I am unable to do my studies properly due to this please help me out. Thanking you

Hi,

Firstly, you may have the following examination: "Hydrogen Breath Test" to rule out bacterial overgrowth in the intestine and "Urea Breath Test" to rule out H.pylori infection. Meanwhile, -OTC Simethicone tablets and probiotics may be used to combat bloating.

- Chew food well and try not to talk/zip mouth while chewing food as it causes more air to enters stomach and may lead to bloating.
- Avoid drinking water in the middle and after meals.
- Ingest small meals at regular intervals. avoid soft drinks, chocolate, coffee, tea
- Avoid beans, broccoli

Advise for constipation:

- stop any medication being used for constipation for a week - thrice daily, take two tea spoon (or one big spoon) isphagula husk with 200 to 300 mL water
- increase warm water( at least 8 glass/day) intake
- do not drink water during and after meals
- eat small meals (rich in fiber)- eat plentiful "fresh oranges" and "pear "
- avoid COLD milk and and AVOID junk food (NO burger , pizza-even if its veg.) altogether
- mix few drops of "lemon juice" in warm water.

Drink on empty stomach, early in the morning, to aid in bowel movement- avoid beverages / alcohol/ soft drinks.

- do some exercise (push-ups / squats etc) early in the morning
- avoid carbonated drinks
- take 2-3 spoon edible virgin olive oil in the morning

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Wish you good and sound health.

Dr Tayyab Malik
