I am a 44 years old woman. There is heaviness in my chest specially when I lie down. Recently I got my complete blood count done ,my haemoglobin was 6.2g.I was put on iron tablets which increased it to 9.6g. But the heaviness still persists. What could be the reason?
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Since you are approaching menopause age (44 years), you are at risk of heart diseases due to hormonal changes. And this can lead to heart diseases related chest Heaviness. So get done ecg, 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test). If all these are normal then no need to worry for heart diseases. Also get done hormone levels and if imbalance is there then you should start hormone pills to regulate hormones. Once your hormones are normalize, you will be alright. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wish you good health. Thanks.
