Suggest Treatment For Bloating And Pain In Back And Nipples.

Hi,

I am 43 years old, have had one child 13 years ago. I am in good health, am 5'3 and 125 lbs. For the past six to eight months, I have had some symptoms get progressively worse. Symptoms that I have had all my life, like painful cramping pre-mentrually, has become nearly unbearable on both sides and most especially across my low back. At about the 20 day mark of my cycle, a new symptom of very painful nipples has come about in the past five months.

I have always had a bit of a "nervous" stomach, but have really noticed that despite my normal exercise, and now even extremely increased exercise routine, my entire abdomen is consistently bloated looking and feels very bloated. I do not eat as much as I used to because of this bloating and because I feel like I am constantly fighting a "sour stomach" or full, like I have just eaten a meal and a huge amount of water--which I have not.

Very recently, I have noticed that when I exercise with any impact, my bladder leaks. I will stop and go to the bathroom, then continue, only to feel the leaks again, even to coming out and down my leg. I joke that I am to the point of having to wear a "brief" when I do my workouts, which are difficult.

I am very concerned about all these symptoms but realize they could be due to my age and pre menapausal stage, but the bloating is concerning as I do a lot of exercise and do not eat much at all. The back and nipple pain is very bad, as well. I am still menstruating with some months being light flow and some being very heavy.

Past ultrasounds have showed fibroids and I did have a large ovarian cyst removed via laprectomy in 1992.

Hi,

Your symptoms of lighter menstrual flow, bloating and cramping denotes pre-menopausal phase. Bladder control issues can denote urinary continence or infection. Treatment of the cause along with pelvic strengthening exercises should be done to reduce the symptoms. I would suggest you to take a pelvic ultrasound to rule out any abnormalities. Avoid stress and consider mind relaxing techniques. Mammogram can be done to rule out any breast abnormalities.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
