Suggest Treatment For Bleeding And Weakness After Taking Depo Injection

I am a 40 yr old woman I had my second Depo injection on May 4th and I am still bleeding. I am weak and tired all the time. I am so overemotional that I have lost my job. I need this to stop. I am a single mother and need to work and right now that is not an option. Is there anything I can take to remedy this?

Hello,

Depo injection can cause prolonged bleeding and menstrual irregularities. However, given your age, I would recommend getting a pelvic ultrasound done to rule out any uterine/ovarian pathologies. Also, it is important to rule out anemia (Iron deficiency) with blood test given you are feeling tired along with bleeding.

Hope this answers your question
