Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hi,

From what you have mentioned, you seem to be suffering from panic disorder which is a type of anxiety disorder. Taking medicines only when attacks do occur is not going to help you overcome your problems. I would suggest that you seek a a psychiatric consultation for initiation of regular treatment.

Treatment with sertraline (zoloft) in an adequate dose (50-200 mg/day) will be helpful. In addition you should start exercising daily, which will help you control your anxiety and relax.

I do hope that you are soon able to overcome your anxiety. Best wishes.
