Suggest Treatment For Ankylosing Spondylitis

my brother is a diagnosed case of ankylosing spondylitis on irregular medication.His Hb is 8.8g/dl TLC is 2100/cu mm Eosinophil count 16%,platelet count normal total erythrocyyte count low.He was on Salazopyrine+ methotrexate till january and on herbal preparations since.Could this be a drug induced suppression or is it a part of the entire spectrum of AS?
