Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi,

Alopecia areata is an autoimmune skin disease of unknown etiology. Stress may be the triggering factor. Kindly consult the dermatologist for the perfect treatment.

I would suggest...

- trioxsalen lotion application
- tacrolimus oint application
- minoxidil 5% solution to apply
- immunomodulator like levamisole 50 mg daily
- oral steroid in tappering dose
- intradermal steroid injection

I hope this would help you... Have patience and continue treatment for long time.

Thanks.
