General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

* Intestine infection through some sort of bacteria or virus ingested during meals.
* Primary guidelines for best recovery

- consume plenty of liquids with boiled water, lemon juice, coconut water etc.
- consume soft, easily digestible foodstuffs with avoidance of spices, non-veg, junk items
- oral rehydration salt with probiotics are main recovering agents
- consult your PCP after 24 hours if the frequency of stool persists for further prescription of GI specific antibiotic as metronidazole or else.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
