Suggest Remedy For Vomiting With Powdery Bowel Movement
My 5 year old child vomits , I believe due to stress and anxiety but she also sometimes sits up in bed, moaning and crying and then vomits a lot. Afterward she just lies back down. She remembers nothing the next day. When she is sitting up, she doesn t answer me at all. I don t think she s awake. When she first began vomiting the dr. said it was constipation but she has a bowel movement every day. Lately there is a powdery looking substance in it. Please help
Hi. Thanks for your query. Noted the history of an odd case of vomiting in a child of 5 and that she does not remember the next day what happened yesterday. This indicate that there is some central nervous system problem which needs the following: Clinical evaluation by a Pediatrician and a second opinion of a Neurologist. MRI of the brain and EMG is a must. May be a few days in hospital so that the Doctor or the staff can observe what exactly is happening . Also needed is an examination of abdomen, X-ray of the abdomen and Ultrasound. Tests of blood, stool and urine should be done. All these tests will lead to a proper diagnosis and management.
