Suggest Remedy For Pneumonia With Pleurisy

I was recently diagnosed with pneumonia with plurisy. I received IV antibiotics in the hospital. I am home. My pain has pretty much gone away. I saw my primary care doctor today and he did a chest xray. It has only been less than a week. He said the xray still showed pneumonia and for me not to return to work. I feel much better. I need to go back to work.

Thanks for your question on HCM.
In pneumonia symptoms appear before x ray findings (infiltrates, consolidation). And same is tru after treatment.
After appropriate treatment, improvement in symptoms is earlier than x ray improvement.
So if you are symptomatically improved than no need to worry much. X ray improvement will take almost 2-3 weeks atkeast. Sometimes it will take almost 1 month for improvement.
So better to consult pulmonologist and discuss all these. If you are symptomatically better than you can get back to work. Get done chest x ray after 20-30 days, it will improve.
