Suggest Remedy For Pain While Passing Stool

hello...i am 28 yrs old female and have 2 months old baby(breastfeed ,second babyandboth babies through normal delivery).....i have fissure(past 2 days) becoz of which whenever hard stool passes it give unbearable pain....i have consulted a gyne and she gave a laxative(creamalax),but of no use .stool is not too hard but still it is little bit.though i am drinking 10-12 glasses of water and consuming fibrous food .inspite of doing all this why my stool is hard.

Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
Instead of cremalax (Sodium Picosulphate) & bulk agents, you should use stool softeners Lactulose 30 ml at bed-time & have also warm sitz baths. Apply 2% lidocaine jelly before and after passing stool.Topical diltiazem(2%) and bethanechol (0.1%) is another alternative for the treatment of anal fissures.
