i had a strange pain on the left side of my neck that traveled to the upper part of my shoulder...it wasn't a sharp pain..but it was enough to stop me in my tracks and take my breath away for a few seconds..the next day the pain was under my left breast traveling across my chest..what could cause this?

Hi Thank you for asking HCM I have gone through your query. As you have a left sided chest pain and associated to neck and left shoulder you should better do an ECG and rule out a cardiac cause. If you are getting it in exertion then a treadmil test also should be carried out.If that is fine then it should be mostly due to cervical spondylosis.A spasm of neck muscles is characteristic for that.Short term NSAIDs muscle relaxants neck exercises and physiotherapy can clear that.Hope this may help you. Let me know if you have any further query.
