Hello Doctor..I am 25 yrs married women. My height:5.1 & weight: 49 kgs I have a problem of Irregular menstrual(irregular periods). I have consulted a gynic and undergone all these tests(PCOD, Thyroid etc), all possible menstrul tests and as per the doctor all the test reports are normal. I got my last menstrual period in Feb'2011 and its been 5 months now & didnot get my period till now. I did a pregnancy test, but it is Negative. As per the Doctor, itseems to, I have Genetic problem, as all the test reports show normal. I am not planning for pregnancy till 6 months, we do have sex(uses condoms) once in a week. The Gynic adviced me to take FEMILON tablets every month to get the my periods. I am afraid to take it. Can you please help me understand, if all the reports show normal, why my periods are regular ? How safe to have FEMILON tabs monthly, will this give any side effects ? Having Femilon tabs, will it reduce my pregnancy chances in future ? Please suggest me, what medication, I need to take to have my periods regular ?
