Hi. I am a nineteen year old female and I am worried about my heart. I recently went from 225lbs down to 180lbs, and I am still trying to get in better shape. The last few times I have gotten my blood pressure checked it has been ideal, 120/70, 122/66, and 120/60. My worries are about my heart rate. It will be anywhere from 80bpm to 99 bpm. I have been very sedentary since I was about 14, but I am not sure where to get started. I want to get my resting heart rate down safely. I did smoke a pack of cigarettes a day for about 4 and a half years, but I am now quit. I can not get my mother to take me to the doctor for this, because she thinks it is all in my head. This is something that has constantly been on my mind for about 2 months now, I just wish I did not have to stay worried.
