Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough

I am female 30 Yrs old, I have severe dry cough problem for past 2 yrs, Dr suggest to take Montek @ bed time, I have taken regularly for 3 moths, but for last one week, i got continues dry cough @ morning and night time, pls suggest me whom to i consult?

Thanks for your query.
I think you have cough variant asthma. Ideally you should undergo the following tests -
1. Spirometry with bronchodialator reversibility
2. Absolute eosinophil count
3. Sputum eosinophil count
4. Total Serum IgE
5. Chest X-ray (PA view)
If asthma is found to be present either with the above tests or by clinical examination only you need to take appropriate inhalers to relieve your symptoms.
You should consult a good pulmonologist.
