Suggest Remedy For Dry Cough After Pacemaker Insertion

My father is in the hospital. He had two pacemaker procedures (new pacemaker, reinserted twice) two weeks ago (because of microdislodgement four days after first procedure). He went to ER because he started shaking severly and said it felt similar to when it was dislodged previously. No dislodgement found but had a very bad bladder infection and impaired kidney function (slight). Fever has come down, white blood count and kidney function back in normal range after antibiotics and kidney meds (IV) This morning his heart went into a-fib, and he converted well after IV medications were given. No a-fib since that time. He has known renal occlusion (and some others). No further testing done. His dry cough is getting worse, but his lungs are clear. Both cardiologist and nephrologist are not concerned. We are concerned about possible involvement from renal blockage but they say doppler or contrast test not indicated and are sending him home. Not sure what to think?

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern for your father your father seems to have the multiple pathologies and in my opinion these must have been taken good care by the medical team, at certain incidence patient's relatives think that their patient not being taken good care, but this may not be true, in such case where the multiple pathologies are there became quite difficult to explain every thing there could be numbers of reasons in such case which even medical science might not be knowing but that does not mean that patient being neglected, hope this information helps.
