The symptoms of anxiety on going out of home or even on thoughts of going out with fear, epigastric distress, sweating, suffocation, palpitations etc should not be ignored. These symptoms can occur in anxiety disorders especially in agoraphobia. In agoraphobia there is fear of closed spaces or also in moving out of home or of unfamiliar places. I would advise you to consult a Psychiatrist for proper treatment.
Medicines like SSRIs are commonly used in such anxiety. Fluoxetine, Sertraline, Paroxetine etc medicines are very helpful. Apart from that medicines like propranolol can help in reducing the symptoms in times of severe anxiety. Consult a psychiatrist for prescription of these drugs and for evaluation.
Behavior therapy and systematic desensitisation also have excellent roles in such symptoms.
Thanks
