Suggest Remedies For Stomach Bloating And Loss Of Appetite After A Surgery

My dad had surgery 7 months ago to expand his espogus and move an ulcer to his stomach. Since the surgery his stomach has been growing, he looks like his 9 months preganent and he's having a hard time breathing(shortness of breath). He's gained 20 pounds, the dr says he just needs to eat less and exercise. He is hardly able to eat.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. to me, they sound more concerning than simply from over eating. i will suggest the doctor evaluate him fully for the possible cause of this abdominal distension and shortness of breath. The fact that he is hardly able to eat and is rather putting on weight signals some sort of fluid accumulation. Please, get that checked out!

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and feel free to ask for more information and clarification if need be.
