Hello. Thank you for your question and welcome to HCM. I understand your concern. Good luck with your father s aftermath with a stent and congratulations on a effective procedure. These alterations and symptoms are certainly not from the stent placement. There are certain medication and disease/disorder processes that can raise liver function tests. For instance, if you have a statin in your therapy, it may be the culprit of this situation, as there is a known fact from the studies that statins raise the liver function tests up to 8-10% of the cases. Since the bilirubin is high, I would also recommend an ultrasonography of abdomen, more to evaluate the gallbladder and the bile ducts. A blockage in the routes of excretion of bile and/or the inflamatin of the gallbladder walls can produce high figures of bilirubin and SGOT and SGPT. I hope I was helpful with my answer.
