Suggest Medications For Quitting Smoking

hello my husband has just quit smoking canabis he has been smoking it for 25 years and can not sleep he is finding it very hard is there any medication to help his doctor perscribed him chlordiazepoxide capsules but they dont seem to be helping thankyou

Tricky.
Valium like sleeping medications (similar to the one prescribed, but generally stronger) have more side effects and more problems than the one prescribed. Benadryl is a very safe anti-histamine. Antidepressants such as tofranil are FDA approved for sleep and are non-habit-forming (but often weaker than what was prescribed). Melatonin is a very safe sleep enabler -- the hormone that tells you when it is dark and time for sleep.
