Suggest Medication For Throat Pain

My throat has been hurting for about 11 days now. I started off with symptoms of the flu and was sick for three days, I felt better on the forth day, but my throat pains stayed, and I still have them. I'm worried. I went to my Doctor's and the tests for Mono and Strep have turned up negative. What else could this be, a virus?

hi
throat pain can be due to various reasons ,the symptoms you mentioned are fairly acute in nature and hence it can be due to some sort of infection in throat, causing tonsillopharyngitis and this in turn causing you the pain.
in these condition you requires to take broad spectrum antibiotics and local antibiotic solution gargles.
so i would suggest you to visit an ent specialist doctor and take proper legit prescription.
