Suggest Medication For Migraines.

i am 21 years old and i have bipolar disorder type two, and i get frequent migranes so i was looking up a possible connection or something that would help with the pain and i came across something that was for bipolar, migranes and also seizures, and that reminded me of the one time i was able to completly get rid of a migrane i took some sort of epilepsy medication from a friend who has epilepsy. then when i started looking into that i noticed alot of thngs that i never really thought to much about are syptoms of partial siezures, could i have epilepsy and not ever known?

Thank you for your question on HCM! I read it carefully and understand your concern.

Migraines and bipolar disorder can coexist and the humor imbalance is a triggering factor for migraine attacks. An antiepileptic drug would be very helpful for the prevention of migraine attacks and as a humor stabilizer in bipolar disorder.
I would recommend you lamotrigine, or valproate which are both effective in your situation.

Partial seizures can mimic anxiety, but they do not last all the time, just a few seconds or minutes.

I would recommend you to consult with a neurologist and perform an EEG to exclude seizures.
