Hello,

Increased frequency along with passage of semisolid stool without vomiting or any other symptoms and without any change in diet indicate the following:
• Sub-clinical intestinal infection can cause this
• Stomach bug or flu
• Development of intolerance to a particular food
IBS that is irritable bowel syndrome

This can be diagnosed by the following.
• Tests of stool and blood
Ultrasound of the abdomen

Clinical evaluation by a doctor and prescription based treatment as diagnosed. Stop the suspected food. Tale plenty of oral fluids. Banana, curd, and probiotics help further.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T Chandrakant
