Suggest Blood Thinning Tablets

My doctor has insisted that I get a Clexan injection before flying on a long-haul flight. i also take Tamoxifen and am on Sota-hexal for arythmia and on Phamapress Co for high blood pressure. I usually move about wuite a lot when flying as I find I cannot sleep. Is there an alternative, i.e. blood-thinning tablets i can take for a couple of days before flying?

Dear Friend.
Welcome to HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
If you are at risk of developing thrombosis, we advise clexane injections.
Oral drugs are available but there action is delayed and also unpredictable.
To prevent travellor's thrombosis, we advise you following:
1. To maintain hydration during the flight.
2. Intermittent pneumatic compressions can be used.
3. Graduated stockings can be used.
4. Some people also suggest Aspirin.

However, if you are at high risk of developing DVT, you should receive Clexane injection.

This is my personal opinion for you based on available details. If you have any further query please ask me.
