Suggest Alternative Means Of Treatment For Herniated Disc In Lower Back
I'm twenty-four years old and I have a severely herniated disc in my lower back, L5 I believe. They've recommended lumbar fusion surgery, even though I'm young. Physical therapy isn't an option at this point and they said steroid injections wouldn't do anything. Is there another option other than this highly invasive surgery?

Physical Therapist or Physiotherapist, Ajithkumar PA's Response
you SHOULD CONSULT A PHYSIOTHERAPIST. There is so many non invasive treatment for L5 disc herniation. Like manipulation, Pelvic traction and so on. You better go to the clinic with all medical reports. Let healing hands treat you before aggressive knife.
