Suggest Alternate To Steroids For Rheumatoid Arthritis Treatment
I have been diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. Am under steriods Zempred over a year now. I started with Zempred 16 mg and now i take Zempred 8 mg a day. I am worried if this is a long term solution as i understand that steroids can have severe side effects. Can you please guide on an alternative ?

For RA, you can use DMARDS (disease modifying anti rheumatic drugs):
Methotrexate or Cyclophosphamide
Sulfasalazine
Ciclosporine
Leflunomide
Azathioprine
Mycophenolatmofetile
Chloroquine or derivates
