Hi;
welcome to HealthcareMagic
The pulse and BP are almost normal but the palpitations can be due to either anxiety and mental stress.The tiredness and loss of energy feeing can be treated with multivitamins also take proper diet and exercise regularly.But since you have a family history of heart diseases and you were a chronic smoker it is better to get examined by a doctor so please consult a doctor.
Thanks

I have had 2 echocardiograms over the last 7 years and have suffered from a lot of palpitations daily, sometimes every few beats for weeks over those years. They always make me feel ill but rarely as though I will collapse. Today I had an episode for 10s that made my eyes fill with light and caused me to cough and be unable to do anything. I am only 26 years old. I don t know whether I need to go back to the doctor based on what happened today, especially as I have been told I shouldn t go back by one cardiologist.

I have had palpatations off and on for about 20 years now(I m 63). I can go months without having them and then I will have them hundreds of times a day for weeks. I am in good health-never smoked, alcohol only occasionally. Recently had blood work done and all tests were normal including magnesium,calcium,potassium, total cholesterol was 131 and HDL good. I am currently taking 25 mg of atenolol once daily. I had a holter monitor about 5 yrs ago and also an echo. Doctor tells me not to worry but it s hard not to.

Dear Advisor, I have recently stopped using cocaine after being a social (1-2 times per month) for a number of years. Will using Calpol Soothe & Care Saline Nasal Spray help to repair the persistent scabs I have at the base of my septum? Any advice on self treatment would be gratefully received. Regards. Our 31 year son has thoracic back issues. He is an addict, alcoholic and liar. He has been through rehab twice. At age 14 and again in his early 20 s. He is on MS contin prescribed by a pain doctor in Austin, TX. We just read the web information on MSContin and believe he should not be prescribed this medication as an addict. He is also a patient with MHMR. We believe he needs a dual diagnosis. Mental and Substance Abuse. Are there rehab centers that work with patients with no insurance with a dual diagnosis? He does not have a job. He got his TXDL back yesterday after a 180 day suspension for DUI. He still has not gone before the judge due to lawyer extensions. His biological father paid an attorney $2500 to represent him in court. The lawyer keeps putting extensions due to his schedule. The first court date was December. The second date was January and has now been pushed to February. We are concerned that his mentally ability combined with substance abuse (even though legally prescribed) keeps him from functioning. Do we stand to the side and watch the fall? Do we attempt to find a dual diagnosis treatment facility and try and get him on the new health care system (Obama Care)? We see the gravity of the situation and need guidance. If you can discuss dual diagnosis treatment facilities and the likelihood of Obama care paying for rehab? Thanks,
