Suffering From Epilepsy. Taking Oxymetazol. Any Treatment To Cure Epilepsy Completely?

Hi Doctor my mother is surrefing with elipsy for last 3 years , doctors prescribed oxymetazol( oxycarbazine) oxtol 300 mg morning & 600 mg night time, one year back doctor told to contiune with 600 mg 2 tab/ day, but recently she is getting elipsy repetdly , one week back 5 times she felt with elipsy . is there any other medicine to cure this disoreder permenantly

Mr Ramesh,

Thank you for posting your query.

Your mother has epilepsy and she is getting frequent episodes of seizures (fits) despite taking oxmazetol (oxcarbazepine).

There are several other good medications, which can be used in her, such as levetiracetam, sodium valproate, lamotrigine, Topiramate, etc.

However, I would need the details about her epileptic fits, MRI brain and EEG reports to decide the correct medicines.
