Suffering From Cleft Pallet,last 2 Surgeries Didn't Helped. What Can I Do ?
hello doctor , i m monica, my son had cleft pallete problem. his two surgeries has been done. his tongue went back inside so at the fifth day from his birth first plastic surgery was don to fix his tongue. he has started to speak late. he was for 1 and half month at hospital. now he is like a common child, brainy,picks things fastly. but he does not take interest in study. he gives me wrong answers about alphabets. some times gives correct answers. i dont understand what is his problem. wo padai achi tarha se kyun nahi karta? please help me. what is his problem?

some times with some congenital anomalies some mental retardation is not uncommon,but as you say other way he is ok so this is not the problem with him.
Keep patience,gradually he will have attention for study.
in school with other students he will learn about study,talking,mixing etc and give attention to study.
Try at home to give him some lessons and follow his lessons.

Hi- You didnt mention how old he is? you should get an assessment by a Psychiatrist or Psychologist and his social qoutient done. That shows if he is behind in certain areas. Rest- Relax- each child is unique and different.
