Suffering From Seborrhea Hyperplasia Everywhere. Some Relief With Hydroxyzine, Salacylic Lotion. Solution?

I AM SUFFERING FROM WHAT i BELIEVE IS SEBORRHEA HYPERPLASIA IT IS EVERYWHERE, SCALP, FACE (ESPECIALLY AROUND THE EYES) OFTEN IT APPEARS TO CREATE CHANNELS UNDER THE SKIN FROM ONE BLISTER TO THE NEXT. mY DOCTOR APPEARS (TO ME) TO BE GUESSING ABOUT TREATMENT (PERSISTING NEARLY A YEAR NOW) CURRENTLY HYDROXYZINE (FOR ITCHING) AND SALACYLIC LOTION WHICH IS HAVING LIMITED SUCCESS. aNY THOUGHTS?

Hi,

I feel that you are having seborrheic dermatitis.

You may be having seborrhoea..oily skin on face and scalp..right?

SD is is a chronic inflammatory skin disease of unknown cause.

However,stress,anxiety,sun exposure, travelling,sleeplessness or spicy food might exacerbate the disease.

It is believed that, yeast like melassezia may be responsible for SD.

Antifungal like ketoconazole may be taken for long time.

In resistant cases I prescribe steroids in tappering dose.

Apply mild steroids with antifungal cream or lotions on scalp and skin of face.

Avoid all factors as suggested above.

Shampoo with ketoconazole containing shampoo.

Avoid stress and worries.

You may be benefitted.
