Suffer From Fever. How Often Can I Give The Meftal?

at what intervals can I give meftalp, if I havebeen advised to give calpol 250mg every 4 hrs if fever above 100 degrees c....and if the fever goes above 102 then to give meftal p, which did as the fever shot up to 103 in 2 hrs, then she was fine for the next 5 hrs, so I gave calpol an hour ago, she disc not have a fever then, now its 100.2, what should I do?

Hi

Meftal P contains Mefenamic Acid and Paracetamol. You have not mentioned the age and also syrup or tablet. But Meftal P can be taken 6hrly and is usually not given in children below 14 yrs of age. If adult , instaed of Meftal P , Calpol 500mg 6hrly is better. If fever is more severe, Calpol 650mg 6hrly can be given.
