Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing here.

Alopecia areata is an auto immune disease.

It is chracterised by having small patches of bald areas in scalp.

Many Treatment options are available, and it depends upon treating doctor.

DPCP is a contact sensitiser and it induces hair growth by causing irritation of skin.

Other therapy are intarlesional steroid injection, tacrolimus, minoxidil, topical steroid lotions etc.

You can continue with dpcp but if no response then you can consult your doctor and talk him about other treatment options.

I hope this will solve your problem.Take care.
