Stung By Something On Leg In Ocean. Painful, Itchy, Bubbly Rash Appeared. Bubbles Are Still Present. Cause?

While on vacation in Maine I was stung by something on the leg/knee area while on the dock at the ocean. it was very painful and itchy for a couples of days and turned into a very large bubbly rash. it was red In color at first and is now (after 5 days) turning purple in color. It no longer itches very much, but the bubbles are still there. any ideas?

Hi,
it seems that you might be having some poisonous insect bite giving rise to allergic reaction on the part.
Now there might be some infection.
Take antihistamine like Cetrizine or Levo-cetrizine for 2-3 days.
Go for one antibiotic medicine course after consulting your doctor.
Ok and take care.
