hi doctor
i got physical with my boy friend just after my periods got over on 12th aug and because of the condom break i took an ipill. after two or three days there was spotting and i took another ipill the same say bcz we had unprotected sex and it has been two days that i have been experiencing spotting and at times i have pain in my lower back with normal bleeding. my next period falls on 8th sept. is it worrisome. plz help asap

Hi,
Thanks for writing in to us.

If you had a condom break and took an ipill soon after realizing the accident, that is the best decision you could take.
The spotting two three days after taking 1st ipill is due to hormonal imbalance created by the ipill.

You should not have had unprotected sex and ipill for second time because it is only for emergency and not to be take frequently. That can cause severe hormonal imbalance and delay next periods for two months.

It can also cause cysts in ovary.

Please DO NOT take ipill unless emergency.
