Spotting During 6th Week Of Pregnancy. Ultrasound Shows Enlarged Yolk Sac. Prescribed Medication, Rest. Chances Of Continuing Pregnancy?
MY WIFE HAD BLEEDING/SPOTTING DURING THE SIXTH WEEK OF PREGNANCY AND THE DOCTOR DID AN ULTRASOUND AND SAID THAT SHE HAS A ENLARGED YOLK SAC (5.4MM) AND HEARTBEAT IS 55BPM, SO HE PRESCRIBED CORION5000 AND NATURLOGEST 200G AND ADVICED COMPLETE BED REST AS THE CASE IS OF THRETENED ABORTION, IS THE CASE ACTUALLY SO BAD AND WHT ARE THE CHANCES OF CONTINUING THE PREGNANCY.
Hi Dear, The ultrasound reveals low heart beat of the fetus. Do continue with the prescribed medications as they can be of great help in saving the pregnancy. Chances are not that bleak Stop worrying, avoid any undue exertion and get a scan repeated after a week or 10 days.
Hi, Thanks for writing to us. Please do not get tense, stress is more harmful for your pregnancy. You should follow the instruction of your doctor because chances of continuation of pregnancy are less in this condition but chances are still there. You should take all the precaution and repeat ultrasonography after 2 weeks. Good luck. Take care. Regards Dr. Richa
