Spotting, Delayed Periods. Birth Control Removed. Pregnancy?

Hi I was on the nuvaring last month when i took it out to get my menstrual i didnt put it back in. My husband and i have been sexually active the last time was on march 12, on march 22 i spotted it was a dark brown smear and thick but that was it i was scheduled to get my period yesterday and nohting has happened. Am i pregnant?

Hi,
You should test for pregnancy with a fresh early morning sample of urine 3-5 days later, if you still do not see a period, to confirm/exclude pregnancy. If you wish to have a better and an earlier confirmation, you can go for the serum beta-hCG assay. It could be anything from a breakthrough bleed to an implantation bleed. See your consultant for further support. Take care.
