Hello and welcome to HCM,

Hello and welcome to HCM,

I read and understood your query.
What you described sounds like a bacterial infection, furuncle ,which drained out today. Sometimes pus filled infection on the skin may cause fever. I do not think there is any reason to worry now.

Apply some topical antibiotics like mupirocin / fusidic acid over the lesion to resolve the remaining infection.
If it recurs consult your physician to get oral antibiotics prescribed, and apply warm compresses.
Hope it helped.
